What does it take to be a reknowned Journalist?

I study m communication and I want to be a Journalist with a cause! Someone who's opinion counts and perhaps someday, god willing, a national figure! I know I have the drive! I know that my views aren't constricted! I have the capability to see things from someone else's perspective! My ideas are based on facts rather than whimsical stories that connects one dot to another. I don't see what I choose to see! I SEE WHAT I MUST SEE and then form an opinion! For most part, I'd say, my intellect level is quite positive. But I don't know HOW IT WORKS IN THE REAL WORLD?! How can I make it big?
