Can someone tell me the logic behind 2 of the new rules that were trialed on the weekend?
There is a funny little guy at the AFL named Adrian Anderson, apparrently an ex lawyer .When you mention logic, well, he after all is football operations manager, and his office approves these new inititiatives, what else can be said . How he ever came to prominence within the AFL system is beyond me . As for ya friend Geischen, i just want to know how an ex AFL player and coach, suddenly become's umpire boss, and expert on all rules and interpretations . Another thing, whoever the clown or clowns are, who pushed for the interchange revamp from 4 to 3 with a sub, are just simply messing with the game. Coach's will find a way around these changes, and the way i see it, 2011 will see MORE interchange moves than ever before. In a newspaper interview last year Collingwood's Swan suggested he can run 10 minutes non stop, then hits the bench for a 2 to 3 minute break. I cant see his coach now saying, ok Swanny we are an interchange short this year, so you will have to run non stop for 13 minutes. Coach's are big on working to their players strengths and limitations, so nothing will change Footy administration, seriously, it has become ludicrious.
