Why do Puerto Ricans feel indifferent to Mexican Americans?

I don't know, actually. There definitely is tension. I think they ume they are superior to Mexicans, because Mexicans are always thought to have low paying jobs and the whole immigration problem presents feelings of superiority again. NOT TRUE. Also, although we are all hispanic, there are definitely cultural differences. Plus maybe Ricans feel hostile, because people always label any hispanic as Mexican.
