Atl global company should i join?

Ok my friend told me i should come to one of his meetings and discuss what he does because i am looking for a job and something worthwhile doing in life. anyways its seemed to be similar to the co primerica, except everyone at this meeting was from my area(50mi radius) and the people who host this, they put their heart and soul into it. they even invite any of the workers to their own homes to just have get togethers. so if it was a scam where would they run.lol plus my friend has been making money out of this for 2 years. so should i try join this. my friend personally knows people who retired(yes i have met them too) by the time they 28.
